About Us
The Reading Civic Concert Band was founded in 1987 as a summer band,
performing concerts in Reading's Memorial Park. In 2003, the band was
expanded to be a concert band, performing year-round, under the
leadership of Lucinda Ellert. Summer Concert in the ParkThis coming August 15 at 6pm we will perform in Reading's Town Square as part of the Reading Summer Concert Series. Our theme will be a concert completely of marches. Bring your lawn chairs, coolers, even the dog (hopefully large and affectionate)! Join us for a great early evening in the summer of American music at it's best. See below for a map of how to get there.!!! We are 501(3)c approved !!!It finally happened! After lots of work, we are now an official, IRS approved charitable organization! And that means that money or goods you donate to us are fully tax deductable. So stop by our "Support RCCB" page or contact Lucinda and donate early and often. TO ALL MUSICIANS!!!Rehearsals for the next concert will begin June 14. Rehearsals are on Mondays at 7:30. Check the Rehearsals page for dates, times, and directions. Rehearsals are held at First Congregational Church in Reading, at 25 Woburn St, Reading, MA 01867. If you play an instrument, join us to make some great music!
