About The Band
The Reading Civic Concert Band was founded in 1987 as a
summer band, performing concerts in Reading's Memorial Park. In 2003,
the band was expanded to be a concert band, performing year-round,
under the leadership of Lucinda Ellert.
Wow! Next year will be our 25th anniversary!
Winter Concert
February 26, 3 p.m.
Reading Memorial High School Auditorium
February
is Black History Month. To celebrate it, we have a great concert
planned of music by African-American composers. From swing rhythms to
classical harmonies, come and hear the rich contribution these
composers have given us. And we have a special treat with pianist
Virginia Eskin, who you might remember from our March 2008
concert. This promises to be a spectacular concert!
