The Reading Civic Concert Band was founded in 1987 as a summer band, performing concerts in Reading's Memorial Park. In 2003, the band was expanded to be a concert band, performing year-round, under the leadership of Lucinda Ellert.

Our next performance is in Reading's Memorial Park as part of the Reading Summer Concert Series. Our performance date is Sunday, August 17 at 6pm. Bring a lawn chair, a cooler, and a dog (preferably large and affectionate) and join us for a great early evening in the summer, of American music at it's best. Regular rehearsals for the summer concert in the park began on Monday, June 23, 2008 and are essentially every Monday evening. Watch the Rehearsals page for dates, times, and directions. Rehearsals are held at First Congregational Church in Reading, at 25 Woburn St, Reading, MA 01867.If you play an instrument, join us to make some great music! If you don't, come to our concert and enjoy the music we make!
